Arab Weather - The latest computer simulations of air mass movement and rainfall distribution indicate that unstable weather conditions will expand again during the second half of this week. Forecasts herald the return of seasonal summer rains to several regions of the Kingdom, including Makkah and the holy sites, God willing.

The Intertropical Zone (ITCZ) is rising northwards and moisture is rushing into the region.

According to forecasters at the Arab Weather Regional Center, the reason behind the return of weather fluctuations is the rise of the Intertropical Zone Zone (ITCZ) towards the north, contributing to the push of large amounts of tropical moisture towards the south and west of the Kingdom starting Monday.

Thunderstorms return to Makkah and the holy sites

God willing, cumulonimbus clouds are expected to develop widely across Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, extending to include Taif, Makkah, and parts of Madinah. These clouds will be accompanied by varying degrees of rainfall, hail, and strong downdrafts that will stir up dust.
