Meteorology | Red warning of heavy rain and hail in several regions of the Kingdom until Saturday evening

Arab Weather - The National Center for Meteorology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a red-level warning covering several regions, due to heavy rainfall accompanied by hail showers, lightning, thunder and surface wind activity. The warning will continue until 9 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Areas covered by the warning:

• Eastern Province: Hafr Al-Batin – Al-Khafji – Al-Nu'airiyah – Qaryat Al-Ulya
• Hail: Al-Shanan – Baqaa – Samira – Al-Hait – Al-Sulaimi – Al-Ghazala – Hail – Muwaqq
• AL Madinah AL Munawwarah
• Northern Borders: Rafha
• Riyadh: Al-Zulfi – Al-Ghat – Al-Majma’ah – Shaqra

The latest satellite images and rain radar show the presence of cumulonimbus clouds over these areas, accompanied by moderate to heavy rainfall and hail showers.
