The National Center for Meteorology reported that several regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were affected on Monday by an unstable weather condition, accompanied by chances of thunderstorms and active to severe winds in several regions. Weather warnings included 5 regions, amid warnings of a sharp decrease in horizontal visibility and the possibility of flash floods in some locations.
The Makkah region is at the forefront of the weather scene, with a new red alert issued in Taif Governorate, due to expectations of heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by strong surface wind activity, hail, and chances of lightning strikes.
The effects of the weather system also extend to the regions of Madinah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan, with varying degrees of warnings (yellow and orange), with chances of thunderstorms and dust-raising winds in some locations.
Important note:
The center called for caution, especially while driving, and urged people to avoid flood channels and areas where water accumulates, while also emphasizing the need to follow updates regularly.
