Meteorology: Weather warnings issued for Saturday include 4 regions, including Taif

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather warnings, including parts of the Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan regions, as a result of being affected by a state of atmospheric instability.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with varying levels of warning between red, orange, and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Makkah Region:

• Red alert includes: None
• Orange alert includes: Maysan, Taif
• Yellow alert includes: lesions, lesions,

Al-Baha region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, Bani Hassan.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Hujrah, Al-Makhwah, Far'ah Ghamid Al-Zanad, Qalwah,

Asir region:

• Red alert includes: None
• The orange alert includes: Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait, Rijal Alma, Mahayil, Al Majardah, Bariq, Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Harjah, Al-Rabou’ah, Al-Farsha, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al-Janoub.

Jazan region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: None
• Yellow alert: Al-Harth, Al-Da'ir, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub.

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Moderate to light rain
• Active to very strong winds
• Reduced horizontal visibility
• lightning
• Hail fell
• The possibility of flash floods and valleys

Important note:

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and urged people to avoid flood channels and areas where water accumulates, while also emphasizing the need to follow updates regularly.
