The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather warnings covering parts of the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and the Eastern Province, as a result of being affected by active winds with strong gusts that stir up dust, sand, and sandstorms.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, with varying levels of warning between red, orange, and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

  • Orange alert includes: Thadiq, Huraymila, Rumah, Dhurma, Marat, Zulfi, Ghat, Majmaah, Shaqra
  • The yellow alert includes: Diriyah, the capital Riyadh.

Tabuk region:

  • Red alert includes: None
  • The orange alert includes: Al-Muazzam, Tabuk, Tayma
  • Yellow alert includes: None

Al-Qassim region:

  • The red alert includes: None.
