Arab Weather - The Russian capital, Moscow, witnessed an exceptional and unusual situation during the past hours, after recording rainfall accompanied by dark deposits on vehicles and surfaces, following a huge fire that broke out in an oil facility in the southeast of the city.
The scenes circulating from several neighborhoods have sparked widespread concern, with residents talking about what they described as “black rain”.
According to media reports, the fire broke out inside an oil refinery in the Kaputania region, following a series of explosions whose causes have not yet been officially determined.
The fire caused thick columns of black smoke to rise, covering the sky over Moscow for hours, causing a noticeable decrease in air quality and visibility in some areas.
As the smoke continued to spread in the atmosphere, local residents reported seeing dark marks on cars and windows after light rain in some neighborhoods of the capital.
These scenes have led to the widespread use of the term “black rain” on social media, although there is no official confirmation of the nature of these deposits so far.
