Municipalities near the Jordanian border with Syria warn of heavy torrential rains coming from the Syrian side

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Local Administration has warned the municipalities near the Jordanian border with Syria of torrential rains and floods that may storm their areas due to heavy rains on the Syrian side, due to the state of atmospheric instability affecting the region.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Local Administration, Eng. Hussein Mhaidat, head of the central emergency room in the ministry, confirmed that the ministry is following up on any developments in the situation of regional instability, and the Joint Services Council in Irbid Governorate has been stressed to be on standby for any emergency, especially the Al-Ugaider landfill, which is adjacent to the Jordanian-Syrian border. .

For his part, Engineer Muhammad Al-Shamali, head of the Joint Services Council in Irbid Governorate, is following up with the mayor of the new Umm Al-Jamal municipality, Hassan Al-Rahiba, the developments of the situation after the flood waters from Syria reached some areas of Umm Al-Jamal municipality, especially the Al-Kom Al-Ahmar area.

The northern engineer indicated that, praise be to God, things are under control and reassuring so far, but the situation is being followed up on a regular basis due to developments in unstable weather conditions, with the aim of taking any emergency and necessary measures if necessary.
