The National Center for Meteorology reported initial indications that most regions of the Kingdom will be affected by a rainy weather system during the coming week, coinciding with the mid-year school break.
The weather is expected to begin on Friday with the formation of cumulonimbus clouds over the southwestern and western highlands, including parts of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, and extending towards parts of the Makkah region, accompanied by showers of varying intensity that may be locally heavy.
Starting from Saturday, a cold air mass coming from the Levant is expected to rush towards the north of the Kingdom, and clouds will increase and showers of rain will fall on parts of Tabuk, Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders, in addition to some western regions.
And on Sunday, the chances of rainfall will extend to include the Hail and Qassim regions, in addition to the northern part of the Riyadh region and the northern part of the Eastern Province, and God knows best.
