Public security warns of expected weather conditions and calls for taking necessary precautions.

Arab Weather - The Public Security Directorate warned of expected weather conditions as the Kingdom is affected by a state of atmospheric instability today, Wednesday, and a cold and humid air mass associated with a low-pressure system starting tomorrow, Thursday, bringing scattered showers that may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunder and hail, according to weather bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.

The directorate called for taking the necessary precautions, adopting proper behavior, and the need to stay away from the sides of valleys, places where torrents form, and low-lying areas, and not to risk crossing water bodies, whether on foot or by vehicle.

She also stressed the importance of driving cautiously on roads that may experience rainfall and taking precautions due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by fog over mountainous areas and dust in desert areas and on desert roads.

She warned of the high wind speeds and strong gusts that accompany them, and the need to secure objects that could be blown away.

She called for the safe and proper use of all types of heating appliances, not refueling them while they are lit, turning them off when sleeping, providing proper ventilation for homes continuously, and not using wood stoves because of their negative effects that result in cases of suffocation.

She confirmed that all personnel in the field are ready to deal with various incidents and stressed the importance of contacting the unified emergency number 911 if needed.
