Weather of Arabia - An extremely cold Siberian air mass rush is being monitored towards the Levant region and Iraq, then towards northern Saudi Arabia, starting on Tuesday. It will lead to a sharp and significant decrease in temperature and activity in the velocity of dust-causing winds in many regions of the Kingdom.
It is expected that the extremely cold air mass will begin crossing the northern airspace of the Kingdom from Monday / Tuesday night, and temperatures will decrease significantly and palpable on both Tabuk and Al-Jouf and the northern borders, and the maximum temperatures will reach zero degrees above the high mountain peaks of the Tabuk region, and include Zero temperature most of northern Saudi Arabia hours Tuesday night and Wednesday to be very cold, and around 10 degrees Celsius during the daylight hours.
The cold bloc continues its movement southward on Wednesday towards Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, Madinah, Medina, and various areas of Hafar Al-Batin and Al-Sharqiyah, and as a result the temperatures drop significantly and touches zero percent in many areas on Wednesday / Thursday night, including the capital Riyadh.
During the weekend, the cold block dominates most of the Kingdom's regions, and very cold weather prevails with high chances of frost formation in the morning hours in various regions of the Kingdom except for the areas overlooking the Red Sea where conditions are not favorable to the formation of frost despite the cold weather.
The air maps also indicate the possibility of a wave of dust arising during the crossing of the cold block in various regions of the Kingdom and from the northern region on Tuesday and up to the empty quarter on Thursday and passing through the capital Riyadh, and the details of the dust wave will be radicalized during the subsequent publications, God willing.
