Saudi Arabia calls for the investigation of the crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah on Sunday evening

And the Saudi Supreme Court said in a statement: “In view of what was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (170 / AH) and the date of 1/11/1444 AH, that Sunday 1/11/1444 AH - according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 5/21/2023 AD, is the first day of the month. Dhu al-Qi`dah for the year 1444 AH, the Supreme Court wishes all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah on the evening of Sunday 11/29/1444 AH - according to Umm al-Qura - corresponding to 6/18/2023 AD.

She added, "We ask those who see it with the naked eye or through binoculars to inform the nearest court to him and record his testimony there, or to contact the nearest center, to help him reach the nearest court." And the statement concluded: "The Supreme Court hopes that whoever has the ability to show interest in this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward and reward for participation, because it is cooperation in righteousness and piety, and benefit to all Muslims."
