The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged people to exercise extreme caution, stay in safe areas, and avoid floodwaters and valleys. It also emphasized the need not to swim or approach areas where rainwater collects, as thunderstorms continue to fall across various regions of the Kingdom until next Thursday.
The Directorate stressed the importance of adhering to the instructions announced through official media outlets and social media platforms, to ensure everyone's safety during periods of rainfall.
The Directorate explained that the Makkah region will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods and hail, with downward winds that stir up dust and dirt. The governorates include: Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Lith, Al-Qunfudhah, the Holy Capital, Al-Jamoum, Al-Kamil, and Bahra, with expectations of light to moderate rainfall in the governorates of Al-Muwayh, Turabah, and Raniyah.
The directorate also indicated that the regions of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha will witness moderate to heavy rainfall, while light to moderate rainfall is expected in the regions of Medina, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern Province, and Najran.
The Directorate called on everyone to monitor continuous weather updates through official authorities and to avoid risking crossing valleys or approaching floodwaters during and after rainfall.
