Saudi Arabia: Humidity waves continue to affect the Kingdom in the second half of August, causing rain in many areas

From the Arab Weather Center - The latest computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate that several parts of the south and west of the Arabian Peninsula will continue to be affected by waves of moisture with semi-tropical characteristics, leading to rainfall in many regions of Saudi Arabia, God willing.

Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center said that the so-called ITCZ will continue to exist south of the Arabian Peninsula, accompanied by an influx of moisture towards the region, coinciding with the positioning of the subtropical high northwards towards the north of the Arabian Peninsula.

This weather system, God willing, will lead to continued rainfall over large parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with varying intensity and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, with valleys and ravines flowing on some days. The rain will also sometimes reach parts of the Empty Quarter and parts of the highlands of Madinah and Tabuk.

The specialists at the Arab Weather Center also said that the positioning of the high pressure system in the upper atmosphere layers north of the Arabian Peninsula and the deepening of the seasonal thermal depression in the eastern region led to the prevalence of temperatures several degrees warmer than their usual rates in many areas of the north and east of the Kingdom, with very hot weather in general.
