Official Ramadan working hours for students in Saudi Arabia

Regarding school hours, the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom has set study hours for students during the month of Ramadan, as school hours are expected to be five hours a day, starting from ten in the morning until three in the evening.

This reduction in school hours comes to relieve pressure on students during the fasting period.

Students are also expected to have a long break in the last week of Ramadan, extending until Eid al-Fitr, before the semester resumes.

Employee working hours in Ramadan 2024

As for the working hours of employees, they will be in line with the labor laws in the Kingdom, as working hours will be reduced during the month of Ramadan to not exceed six hours per day. This arrangement aims to encourage employees to perform religious duties and fast without negatively affecting their efficiency at work.

These early measures were taken to facilitate adherence to religious obligations and ensure maintenance of activity during the fasting period.
