It may extend to some coastal areas, and these clouds are accompanied by scattered rain, which may sometimes be accompanied by thunder.
There are continuing indications that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may be affected next week by a more widespread rain event, bringing rainfall to many regions of the Kingdom and the Gulf states. This is due to the eruption of a cold upper trough in the high layers of the atmosphere and causing a state of atmospheric instability to arise.
