Update | Thursday 4/29/2021 1:45 p.m.
Arab weather - Sinan Khalaf - once again is expected to increase the impact of unstable weather conditions on the western and southwestern highlands of Saudi Arabia over the weekend, as a result of the flow of more moist air coming from the Arabian Sea towards the region, and its collision with another, less heated air mass coming from North.
It is expected that the heights of Jizan, Asir , Al-Baha and Taif will be on Friday and Saturday under the influence of powerful cumulus clouds, carrying with them heavy thunderstorms and showers of cold that will be dense and accumulated at times, with a high opportunity to form torrents, especially in low-lying areas and mountain slopes, and some may extend These clouds affect the eastern parts of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, but with less intensity.
The expectations also indicate the activity of thunderstorms towards the far south of the Riyadh region, in addition to the Empty Ra’s desert, but they are medium to weak intensity in general, and God knows best.
Some important recommendations:
Alert of the formation of floods locally in parts of the southwest and west of the Kingdom
- Warning about the intensity of hail showers that may accumulate and hinder the movement of vehicles
- Alert of the occurrence of thunderstorms and the accompanying activity of the surface winds that cause dust.
