From the Arabia Weather Center - The latest weather maps to simulate the movement of air masses in the region indicate that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is expected to be increasingly affected Thursday and Friday by the cold air mass resulting from the extension of the so-called Siberian air mass towards the region.
It is expected, God willing, that there will be a significant drop in temperatures on Thursday in the regions of Qassim, Riyadh, Sharqiyah, and all the way to Najran in the south, so that temperatures will record levels colder than their usual levels by about 6-8 degrees Celsius in most regions except the western ones.
Cold weather prevails during the day in the northern regions, while it tends to be cold in the central and eastern regions. In complete contrast, the temperature rises to the west, especially on the coastal strip, and warm weather is witnessed in those areas.
The northwesterly winds are active in the Al Sharqiya and Riyadh regions, causing dust and dust, with a decrease in horizontal visibility. Likewise, the eastern winds are active in many parts of Mecca, Medina, and Tabuk, especially the coastal areas, and raise dust and dust in those areas.
On Friday, the Kingdom will continue to be affected by the cold wave, with temperatures remaining colder than average throughout the northern, central, and eastern regions. Likewise, the southeastern and eastern winds will be active in the western sector and cause dust and dust to be stirred up in those regions.
