Forecasts indicate, God willing, that less than average rain will fall in the southwest of the Kingdom (the regions of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah) during the month of July, with no significant rain expected in the same month in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions, provided that chances of rain gradually improve. Rainfall and its extent during the months of August and September, and its area expands to reach other regions at that time.
There are also preliminary indications of a possible early activity of the Red Sea depression in September, which leads to the proliferation of some cumulus clouds in the north and northwest of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunderstorms, with an alert of the possibility of the formation of dust storms from dry cumulus clouds at times.
