Praise be to God alone, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions, and after:

The Crescents Chamber of the Supreme Court reviewed what it received from the courts regarding the sighting of the crescent of the month of Muharram for the year 1446 AH this evening, Friday, the twenty-ninth of the month of Dhul-Hijjah for the year 1445 AH according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 7/5/2024 AD. After reviewing what was received by the Department in this regard, it issued Resolution No. (184/AH), dated 12/29/1445 AH, which included:

Not seeing the crescent of the month of Muharram for the year 1446 AH on the evening of the aforementioned day; Accordingly, the New Moons Chamber of the Supreme Court decided that Saturday 12/30/1445 AH according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 7/6/2024 AD, is the thirty days that complete the month of Dhul-Hijjah of the year 1445 AH, and that Sunday 1/1/1446 AH according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar , corresponding to 7/7/2024 AD, is the beginning of the month of Muharram of the year 1446 AH.

When the Supreme Court announces this, it asks the Lord - the Almighty - to grant success to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Trustworthy Crown Prince - may God protect them - and to reward them with the best reward, and to enable the Muslims to work to what pleases Him, and to unite them and unite their word.
