Saudi Arabia | The Saudi Energy Minister announces the discovery of two `unconventional` gas fields in the Kingdom

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced today, Wednesday, that the &quot;Saudi Aramco&quot; company was able to discover two unconventional natural gas fields in the eastern region.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The &quot;Awtad&quot; unconventional natural gas field was discovered southwest of the Ghawar field, 142 km southwest of the city of Hofuf in the Kingdom, after gas flowed from the (Awtad-108001) well at a rate of 10 million standard cubic feet per day and 740 barrels of condensate.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Gas flowed from the well (Awtad-100921) at a rate of 16.9 million standard cubic feet per day and 165 barrels of condensate.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The &quot;Al-Dahna&quot; field of unconventional natural gas was also discovered 230 km southwest of the city of Dhahran, after gas flowed from the well (Al-Dahna-4) at a rate of 8.1 million standard cubic feet per day, and gas flowed from the well (Al-Dahna-370100) at a rate 17.5 million standard cubic feet per day and 362 barrels of condensate.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> According to the &quot;SPA&quot; agency, the Saudi Minister of Energy stressed that the importance of these discoveries lies in strengthening Saudi Arabia&#39;s reserves of natural gas, which contributes to supporting the Kingdom&#39;s strategies and achieving the goals of the liquid fuel displacement program.</p>
