The Ministry explained that the digital identity for pilgrims, which was developed in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Ministries of Hajj and Umrah, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), enables guests to prove their identity electronically through the “Absher” and “Tawakkalna” platforms, which facilitates their use on their journey, and enhances... The quality of services provided to them and improving their experience.

This launch of the digital identity comes within the framework of the government’s endeavor to achieve the highest levels of quality in serving pilgrims and keep pace with developments in the field of digital transformation to improve their experience during their stay in the Kingdom.

At the same time, government agencies are working to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, as the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the imposition of financial penalties on those who violate Hajj instructions regulations without a permit, as the value of the penalty amounts to approximately 10,000 riyals for each person caught without a Hajj permit, whether he is a citizen.
