Saudi Arabia / Update 3:50 PM: Lightning signals detected by satellite images in the southwest of the Kingdom as cumulus clouds begin to develop.

Arab Weather - The latest satellite images available within the Arab Weather app indicate that cumulus clouds are currently developing, concentrated in the Jazan region in the far southwest of the Kingdom. They are accompanied, praise be to God, by rainfall, lightning, and thunder.

God willing, the thunderstorms are expected to expand in the coming hours to include parts of Asir and Al-Baha, reaching the highlands south of Taif. Areas affected by the cumulus clouds are expected to witness varying rainfall, occasional thunderstorms, and possibly hail and downward winds.
