School students find a 7,000-year-old mummy in Chile

ArabiaWeather.com- A group of Chilean school students found a 7,000-year -old mummy , according to archaeologists, during a field trip to remote parts of the country.

And the local authorities responsible for the national heritage sent experts to the region to study the place of the discovery, which was made near the border with Peru .

The organizers of this archaeological trip believe that the area where the mummy was found should be converted into a reserve, and experts do not rule out that the tomb in which the mummy was destroyed was destroyed as a result of the 8.2-magnitude earthquake that hit Chile last April.
