Regarding the expectations during the coming hours, the latest computer modeling outputs indicate the continued flow of large amounts of rain clouds towards the Sultanate, especially the governorates of North Al Batinah, Muscat, South Al Batinah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Al Dakhiliyah, in addition to Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi, where it is expected that the various mentioned areas will witness heavy thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by the flow of valleys and torrents, which is what was indicated in the report issued by the Civil Aviation Authority this morning, Wednesday.

Rain chances decrease and will be concentrated in Salalah Governorate on Thursday

 

The forecasts also indicate that the tropical depression will begin to weaken starting from midnight on Wednesday/Thursday, and will gradually move towards the northwest to be centered on Thursday morning over the interior parts of Dhofar Governorate, which will lead to the formation of clouds and rainfall at varying intervals. Chances of rain will remain in the rest of the Sultanate’s regions, but with much less intensity, and God knows best.
