Sultanate of Oman | Areas covered by rain forecast for Saturday

The latest numerical model outputs from Arab Weather indicate that large amounts of tropical moisture will continue to flow into the Sultanate of Oman, increasing the chances of cumulonimbus clouds forming in several governorates throughout the day and night.

Areas covered by rain forecast for Saturday in the Sultanate of Oman

Cumulus clouds are expected to increase over parts of the Eastern Province, Muscat, Ad Dakhiliyah, Dhofar, and Al Wusta, bringing with them the potential for varying degrees of rainfall, which may be heavy at times, accompanied by hail in some areas. Strong downdrafts from thunderstorms are also expected, which may cause temporary dust storms in some areas. Heavy rains are also expected to cause valleys and ravines to flow in several areas.

As the night progresses, the weather will gradually stabilize in most areas, with the possibility of limited local rainfall, especially in parts of Dhofar and Al Wusta.
