From the Arabia Weather Center - The latest weather maps resulting from so-called computer simulations indicate expectations that the Sultanate’s atmosphere will be affected during the next few days by the first wave of the depression, causing rain of varying intensity in most of the Sultanate’s governorates.
It is expected, God willing, that quantities of clouds will flow at different altitudes on Monday, and the opportunity will arise for scattered rain, especially in the evening and night hours, in parts of the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, and Al Dhahirah, and it may be accompanied by thunder at times.
Gradually, after midnight and Tuesday, the Sultanate becomes increasingly affected by the depression, so that rainfall intensifies in the governorates of Buraimi, North Al Batinah, Buraimi, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, and parts of Al Wusta. These precipitations vary in intensity and are sometimes accompanied by the occurrence of thunderstorms and heavy rain. Some sedges, especially mountains, lead to flowing valleys and reefs.
It is also possible that some rain clouds will spread sporadically to parts of the governorates of South Al Batinah, Muscat, and North Al Sharqiyah, especially the mountainous highlands.
As for Wednesday, it is expected that the chances of rain will continue in many governorates of the Sultanate, but they will be concentrated in the desert areas. These rains will be of varying intensity at times, leading to the flow of valleys and reefs, accompanied by thunder and the activity of descending winds raising dust.
