Today, as part of His Majesty's follow-up - may God protect him - for all the vital sectors during the Corona crisis, His Majesty inspected the Oman Strategic Facilities Project for oil derivatives in Al Madouna, which was opened last year.
His Majesty stressed during the visit the necessity of benefiting from the drop in oil prices globally in order to enhance the strategic stockpile, the need to maintain providing the various sectors with their oil needs, and the importance of investing strategically in the past to become a major center for the energy sector.
The teams concerned with dealing with the repercussions of the Corona crisis discussed a number of issues of importance to deal with the crisis, as several meetings have been held since the morning.
The most prominent thing discussed today is to proceed with the procedures for returning some of the productive, service and commercial sectors to work, according to strict health and preventive requirements, as well as other provinces where no cases have been recorded, and in which we tend to amend the curfew procedures.
Concerning the productive and commercial sectors that are likely to return to work, they were agreed in principle, and the dates for the return of each sector will be determined during the current week, within a timetable, and after preparing the guidelines that include safety and prevention instructions, and approval by the Epidemiology Committee.
Regarding the stock of strategic and basic commodities with the approaching holy month of Ramadan, we confirm that the stock is good, and thanks to God, the goods are available in safe quantities, and the civil and military institutions and merchants in the governorates were provided with the requirements of the holy month.
For the second day in a row, we witnessed an appreciated commitment from citizens to the instructions to ban comprehensive curfew, and we renew our thanks and appreciation to all, knowing that the date of the end of the comprehensive ban will be midnight tonight, and citizens can go out at exactly ten o'clock in the morning tomorrow, Sunday, according to the mechanism previously announced.
Regarding the return of Jordanian students abroad from abroad, inquiries and comments received are received and dealt with; it is indicated here that the identification of countries and categories of returning expatriates will be done after the registration of those wishing to return is completed via the online platform that we announced yesterday,
According to the criteria and priorities set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs in coordination with the crisis cell.
Among the positive manifestations that we have witnessed during the curfew period are the presence of many cultural talents, indicating the richness, diversity and civilization of Jordanian society, and we found great interest in participating in the "My Talent from My Home" competition launched by the Ministry of Culture.
