The Civil Defense provides its instructions to citizens for safe heating

ArabiaWeather.com- The Department of Media and Preventive Education at the General Directorate of Civil Defense has called on citizens to exercise caution and caution when using various heating methods during the winter season, especially as the Kingdom is on the verge of different weather fluctuations.

In a statement issued today, Thursday, the Directorate confirmed that it follows a number of tips and instructions for citizens when using heating methods of all kinds, the most important of which are:

Provide ventilation for the house from time to time to avoid suffocation.

Do not leave the heater on while sleeping.

Place the heater in a safe place away from narrow corridors.

- Ensure the integrity of the hose connecting the gas heater and the cylinder, and replace the sealant with each new cylinder.

- Do not supply the kerosene heater with fuel while it is burning or use it to heat water and cook.

Store petroleum products in a safe place out of the reach of children.

- Inspect and maintain the wires of the electric fireplace and not load the sockets more than their capacity.

The Information Department called on citizens not to hesitate to contact the Civil Defense operations rooms on the unified emergency phone (911) and from all parts of the Kingdom if the need arises.
