The Fatwa Department sets Zakat al-Fitr for this year at 180 piasters

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The General Ifta Department determined zakat al-Fitr for this year at 180 piasters, and the ransom for fasting at only one dinar, based on the decision of the Fatwa Council.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Fatwa Council also estimates the ransom of food for the poor for those who are unable to fast due to old age or an illness from which there is no hope of recovery (one dinar at its minimum) for each day, and whoever increases will have the reward.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is permissible to take it out from the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, and it is better to take it out between sunset on the last day of Ramadan and the time of the Eid prayer.</p>
