• Hot to very hot weather in general, especially in eastern and parts of northern and central Saudi Arabia.
• Temperatures close to general averages to lower in southwestern Saudi Arabia.
• Weaker monsoon rains than usual in the southwest of the Kingdom, with chances of thundershowers remaining in the afternoon and evening hours.
• Indications of the expansion and intensity of rain during the last week of July, God willing.

Detailed weather for each week

First week (1-7) July 2023

• The Icelandic depression is active in the west and north of the European continent, coinciding with the presence of air heights in the middle of the European continent and in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, which leads to the push of moderately hot air in the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, and the concentration of the subtropical air high in the north and east of the Arabian Peninsula and Iran, and affects the India depression The seasonal (or what is known locally as the seasonal thermal) is semi-permanent during the summer, over the Arabian Gulf in general.
• This leads to parts of the north and east of the Arabian Peninsula being affected by higher-than-usual temperatures, while temperatures prevail in the forty degrees Celsius range in different regions of Saudi Arabia, with the exception of the high mountains and the coasts of the Red Sea.
• The rains in the southern region of Saudi Arabia will be less/weaker than usual, with chances of thunderstorms still occurring with varying intensity, especially with the afternoon and evening hours.

Second week (8-14) July 2023

• The influence of the subtropical high air continues on the north and east of the Arabian Peninsula and Iran, and the semi-permanent seasonal India low (or what is known locally as the seasonal thermal) during the summer affects the Arabian Gulf in general.
• This leads to parts of the north and east of the Arabian Peninsula being affected by higher-than-usual temperatures, while temperatures prevail in the forty degrees Celsius range in different regions of Saudi Arabia, with the exception of the high mountains and the coasts of the Red Sea.

Third week (15-21) July 2023

• The effect of the subtropical high pressure increases on the Arabian Peninsula, which leads to an intensification of the heat in parts of northern and eastern Saudi Arabia.
• The atmosphere remains generally higher than normal temperatures.
• Thunderstorms of varying intensity will also fall in parts of southwestern Saudi Arabia.

The fourth week and the rest of the month (22-31) July 2023

• Air heights control different regions from the south of the European continent and the Mediterranean Sea all the way to the Arabian Peninsula.
• This leads to the weather remaining hot to very hot in different parts of northern, central and eastern Saudi Arabia.
