What does the word father mean?

The word Ab is of Babylonian origin meaning (hostility) due to the intense heat, and the month was dedicated (to the fire gods). It may be (Syriac) meaning “yields and seasons” or ripe fruits, and it is possible that the name is from the Arabic word (ay) which means plants and pasture as mentioned in the Holy Quran in (Surat Abasa) verse (31) and the Almighty’s saying: (And fruits and herbage).

The number of days in the month of August is (31) days, and it is the fifth month of seven months that have (31) days. Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, (Emperor Octavius Augustus) decided that (Emperor Julius Caesar) had named the seventh month ( July ) after him and made its days 31 days, so he ordered that the eighth month (August) be named after him in imitation of his predecessor, and that one day be added to the month of August, which originally had (30) days, to become (31) days at the expense of the month of February. And the number of days in February decreased from (29) days to (28) days. After taking one day from it and adding it to the month of July, and taking another day from it and adding it to the month of August. Thus, the months of (July and August) are the only two consecutive months in one Gregorian year that have 31 days.
August is the month of summer fruits par excellence, especially watermelons, grapes, figs, prickly pears, peaches, plums and nectarines.

1. (Abb Al-Lahhab) means that it is a very hot month. The word (Al-Lahhab) is taken from the word “Lahb”, which is the head or tongue of a burning fire.
2. In August, cut the grapes and do not be afraid, meaning that the grapes will have fully ripened due to the intense heat of August.
3. (The last ten days of August... open the door to winter) meaning "the poison of heat breaks" in the last ten days of August.
4. (Every summer is bitter, so be patient.) Meaning: "The summer is getting hotter so that it can pass."
5. (I'll take off my boots and put on my slippers)
6. (They meet their loved ones in this place)
7. (July is hot and August is dry.. (The air moves in July and stagnates in August, so we feel the temperature is higher than it actually is.)
8. (For those who do not winnow in August, their heart's fat has melted. (Winnowing is separating the wheat and barley grains from the chaff after the threshing process in July), as this process is successful in August due to its light winds, which do not allow the chaff to be lost.
