  • Computer forecast maps indicate weaker-than-usual activity of the upper-atmosphere jet stream during this month and significant activity of deep depressions around the Arctic Circle. This results in weaker access of cold upper troughs to the region and, consequently, weaker-than-usual activity of the Red Sea depression. Overall, temperatures will be warmer than usual and rainfall will be weaker than usual, although this does not prevent the formation of atmospheric instability at intervals throughout the month.
