Arab Weather - Computer simulation maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that many Arab countries will be affected by unstable weather conditions in the coming days, starting from large areas of the Arabian Peninsula, and gradually extending towards the Levant and parts of Egypt at the beginning of next week.
This is a result of the activity and expansion of what is known as the Red Sea Trough, coinciding with the passage of cold upper-level troughs from the north, creating conditions conducive to the development of spring-like rain events. These events are often accompanied by the formation of cumulonimbus clouds in scattered areas, bringing with them a variety of weather phenomena.
God willing, large areas of the Arabian Peninsula are expected to be affected in the coming days by a state of atmospheric instability, with cumulonimbus clouds forming in many areas, including various parts of the Arabian Gulf and the central and southern Arabian Peninsula.
These thunderstorms are accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity from one area to another, and can sometimes be heavy in certain geographical regions. They may also be accompanied by strong thunderstorms and hail showers of varying sizes.
It is also expected that downdrafts or sudden winds associated with thunderstorms will become active, which may lead to the stirring up of waves of dust and sandstorms in the vicinity of these clouds and during their passage.
Initial weather maps show the possibility of these unstable weather conditions extending to areas of the Levant and Egypt at the beginning of next week, with increased chances of cumulonimbus cloud formation and showers in many areas.
In light of these unstable weather conditions, there is a risk of rising water levels on low-lying roads and water accumulations, in addition to the possibility of flash floods and overflowing valleys in some areas, especially in parts of the Arabian Peninsula that may be exposed to heavy thundery rainfall during short periods of time.
And God knows best.
