Weather of Arabia - On June 21, the globe will witness its first solar eclipse for the year 2020, and it will be a partial solar eclipse in regions of the world and annular in other regions. The moon will cover the Sun’s disk in varying proportions.
The astronomical society in Jeddah stated on its Facebook page that the globe is witnessing on Sunday 29 Shawwal 1441 corresponding to June 21, 2020 a annular eclipse of the sun that can be seen in the Arab world in a narrow path that crosses Yemen and the far south of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

As for the rest of the Arab countries, the eclipse will be monitored in the partial form only and in varying proportions from one region to another.
Partial eclipses of the sun on the 21st of June 2020 can be seen in the regions of southeastern Europe and the continent of Asia except northern and eastern Russia and northern Australia, and the continent of Africa except the southern and western part of it, Indonesia, Micronesia, the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
The annular solar eclipse of June 21 will be seen in Congo, the Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Pakistan, India, China, South Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen and Oman, according to the National Institute of Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt.
The Institute stated in a statement that the twenty-first century (between 2001-2100) will witness 224 solar eclipses, of which 77 are partial eclipses, 72 annular eclipses, 68 complete eclipses and 7 mixed eclipses, and the next annular eclipse will occur on June 10, 2021AD.
