There are two piers and a marina, all of which provide an excellent view of sea lions, but the Fisherman's Wharf generally has the largest group of sea lions that people can easily access, especially to the east of the pier, which also contains a small fishing depot.
Another museum is located in the Custom House Plaza, but it provides its visitors with a group of exhibitions that revolve around the history of Monterey as a port, the history of sea fishing and commercial fishing, and perhaps the most important station in this museum is the baleen dock in front of the old whale station.
