Under Watch: The possibility of a tropical system forming in the Arabian Sea by the end of this week

Arabia Weather - Specialists at the Regional Arab Weather Center are monitoring a good possibility of the formation of a tropical depression in the northeastern Arabian Sea by the end of this week, with no effects on the Sultanate of Oman or Yemen during the next five days at least.

The latest satellite images indicate the presence of the monsoon depression over the Indian mainland and is accompanied by large amounts of rain in the northwestern regions of India, and may cause floods in those areas in addition to strong winds. This depression is not classified (yet) as a system. Tropical due to its formation over land and its continued stay over Indian territory.

According to the results of future forecasts, the depression will continue to move during this week to the west towards Gujarat, India, and then place a foot over the northeastern Arabian Sea, with a high chance that it will then be classified as a tropical depression, God willing.
