Urgent.. Works announces medium emergency in conjunction with weather conditions

Arab Weather - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the start of work within the medium emergency plan as of Thursday evening, coinciding with the weather conditions expected to affect the Kingdom, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.

In a press release issued by the Information and Communication Unit, today, Thursday, the Ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to address the observations received within 24 hours through its 106 teams distributed in the various governorates of the Kingdom.

The ministry said that its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom have been circulated fully prepared to face the expected weather conditions and conduct periodic inspection tours to all regions, indicating that the directors of directorates and offices working in the field have been entrusted with raising the emergency plan as needed and developments in the weather situation.

In its circular, the ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the ministry's partners to work on solving and addressing all observations immediately to maintain the sustainability of services provided to citizens, according to the government approach.

The Public Works Ministry called on citizens to take precautions and to stay away from torrents and valleys, especially in the southern regions of the Kingdom, and to be careful while driving on external roads due to the possibility of low horizontal visibility as a result of dust formation.

It also called on citizens not to hesitate to report any emergency situation through direct communication with the main operations room in the ministry and the operations rooms in the governorates, or through the application of the works reporting system on smart phones or through its operations rooms on the following numbers:
