Weather of Arabia - Sinan Khalaf - An unusual thunderstorm hit the Aden International Airport area in the south of the country, accompanied by strong downwinds, heavy rains and hail showers, as a result of the region being affected by a strong state of atmospheric instability.
The storm and its accompanying downward winds caused the glass façade of the passenger terminal to fall, and part of the roof of the building was damaged, causing a number of injuries that were described as light.

Local sources also reported that a number of old houses in the city were damaged due to the rainy thunderstorm, without reports of casualties or injuries.
