The city witnessed traffic jams and high water levels in many streets. Due to heavy rainfall. Local pages posted video clips showing hundreds of cylinders being swept away by floods, some of which ended up in riverbeds and water canals.

The Latakia Governorate Council announced the cessation of work in the city's gas filling unit due to heavy rains, which caused torrential rains from the high areas surrounding the plant, and caused damage to some technical equipment.
