Video | Moment a warplane crashed at the Dubai Airshow moments ago

An Indian-made Tejas fighter jet crashed on Friday during an airshow at the Dubai Airshow, killing the Indian Air Force pilot.

The Dubai government's media office stated via the X platform that the incident occurred during an air show, while an eyewitness reported that the plane was flying at a low altitude at approximately 10:15 GMT before it crashed and turned into a ball of flames, while footage showed black smoke rising from the crash site.

This is the second known incident involving Tejas aircraft powered by General Electric engines, following a previous incident during a training exercise in India in 2024.

It is worth noting that various regions of the UAE, including the city of Dubai, experienced stable weather today, and there are no indications that weather conditions were a factor in the incident.
