Watch: The first fully air-conditioned city in the world in Dubai!

ArabiaWeather.com- recently announced the launch of the "Mall of the World" in Dubai, which will embody a complete and integrated city and will be the first fully air-conditioned city on earth.

The project represents the largest shopping mall, the largest indoor theme park covered by a single dome that can be opened during the winter, as well as the largest retail space, all in the world.

The "Mall of the World" extends over an area of 14.6 million square meters, and will be prepared to receive 180 million visitors annually. This project also represents the largest commercial center in the world.

The area allocated for shopping is approximately two and a half million square meters, and the project includes shopping areas such as “Oxford” and “Rodaeo Drive”, and the largest indoor play park in the world covered by one dome that can be opened during the winter.

The mall will be linked with more than 100 hotel establishments comprising 20,000 hotel rooms, and all buildings in it will be connected to a network of modern, environmentally friendly roads, on both sides of which will be various shops and restaurants.

In addition to theaters and areas for entertainment and cultural performances such as the "West End" in London and "Broadway in New York" and a walkway for celebrations similar to "Ramblas" in Barcelona, it also contains huge parking lots that can accommodate 50 thousand cars.

The project, which is being developed by the “Dubai Holding” group, is connected to an integrated city that enables visitors to spend a whole week in it without leaving it and without the need to use their car.

According to "Dubai Holding", the length of all corridors connected to the mall will be seven kilometers, and they will have air conditioning and can be opened during the winter season.

The most prominent address dedicated to celebrations, events and national holidays will be the "Dubai Events District", which will accommodate tens of thousands at one time, in addition to the largest hotel hall for conferences in the Middle East.

There is also an area dedicated to medical tourism and high-quality health care, which includes medical centers, health resorts and specialized clinics on an area of 3 million square feet.

During his launch of the project, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stressed the importance of the mall's suitability to the climatic nature of the region, saying: "The rapid growth rates in the retail and family tourism sectors require us to prepare early for the future," adding "We announced a while ago that we want to be the economic, tourist and cultural capital of the two billion people who live around us, and we are serious about implementing our vision."
