Arab Weather - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation began implementing urgent measures today to save the Brides' Pool, located in the Bani Kinanah District of Irbid Governorate. This comes after noticing a sharp decline in the water level within the pool, which has reached the point of dryness, threatening the unique ecosystem it houses.

The Ministry has begun releasing regular quantities of water into the pond, as part of a plan aimed at preserving the ecological balance and biodiversity surrounding it. The pond is a natural habitat for numerous wildlife species and local and migratory birds, and constitutes an important environmental lung for the region.

This step comes as part of a strategic vision aimed at sustaining natural water resources and protecting them from deterioration, in light of increasing climate challenges and declining rainfall rates in recent years.
