Arab Weather App - Several weather reports have been issued indicating that the Kingdom will be affected on Friday by a third-degree low-pressure system, bringing with it radical and tangible changes to the weather conditions. This weather condition will be accompanied by a number of weather phenomena.
Forecasts indicate rainfall in several regions of the Kingdom, with heavy rainfall at various times, which increases the likelihood of flash floods, overflowing valleys and streams, and rising water levels in low-lying areas. Soil and rock erosion is also possible in some areas, especially in the southern mountainous highlands, including the Karak and Tafila highlands, due to the heavy rainfall and the rugged terrain.
Low-level clouds with a low base that touches the ground are expected to pass through, leading to the formation of dense fog over the mountain highlands, during multiple periods of the low-pressure system’s influence, which may cause a significant decrease in horizontal visibility, especially on mountain roads.
Weather indicators show clear activity in wind speed, with winds being active to strong and accompanied by severe gusts, especially over the southern mountain highlands and the upper reaches of the Sharah Mountains. These winds will stir up dust waves in the eastern desert regions, and require securing outdoor belongings in the southern regions of the Kingdom to avoid them being blown away by the intensity of the gusts.
The low-pressure system will be accompanied by a sharp and noticeable drop in temperatures on Friday, resulting in distinctly cold weather across the Kingdom, following the moderate weather that preceded it, which will enhance the feeling of cold, especially with the winds and rain.
And God knows best.
