Arab Weather - Satellite images in Arab Weather indicate that a deep low-pressure system is centered in all atmospheric layers at this time to the south of Turkish territory, and this low-pressure system is accompanied by a highly effective cold front.

The cold front is pushing northeast, towards Syria and Lebanon, where these areas are expected to be affected in the coming hours by heavy to very heavy rain, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail showers, which would lead to an increased risk of flash floods and overflowing valleys.

Conversely, the same satellite images indicate strong southwesterly winds blowing across northern and northeastern Libya, extending to include northern Egyptian territory, stirring up dense dust waves and sandstorms in those areas.

According to computer simulation models, the wind direction allows these dust waves to reach Palestine and Jordan in the coming hours. Accordingly, a gradual increase in the percentage of dust in the atmosphere is expected in the coming time, turning the weather into a noticeable dusty one in many areas, especially the southern regions and the outer desert roads, with a significant decrease in horizontal visibility and perhaps its local absence.

Forecasts indicate that horizontal visibility may drop below 1000 meters in some areas of the Kingdom, especially during the evening and night hours, due to the high density of dust.
