Weather update: Thunderstorms spotted in Petra skies now

The Arab Weather app is now monitoring, via satellite images, the development of cumulonimbus clouds in the skies over Petra and southern Taybeh, accompanied by localized rainfall, which may be heavy in narrow geographical areas.

It is also possible that downdrafts will cause local dust storms, which may cause a temporary reduction in horizontal visibility.

Recommendations:

• Beware of slipping on the roads when it rains.
• Beware of dusty downwinds and the possibility of reduced or even zero horizontal visibility.
