Arab Weather - Weather forecasts issued by the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that the Arab Republic of Egypt will be affected by an extension of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, coinciding with hot continental air currents coming from the Eastern Desert and the northern Arabian Peninsula. This will lead to a gradual rise in temperatures over the coming days, with this wave peaking at the end of the week and the first day of Eid al-Adha.
Temperatures in Cairo and most Lower Egypt governorates are expected to exceed the mid-thirties Celsius during the Eid holiday, which is 2-4 degrees Celsius higher than the average for this time of year.
The impact of this high temperature will extend to the interior regions of northern Upper Egypt, where temperatures are expected to reach 37-39 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the weather will be hotter in southern Upper Egypt, with temperatures approaching 42 degrees Celsius in some areas.
During the Eid holiday, hot and stable summer weather will prevail in most areas during the daytime, with relatively hot weather in the southern regions. The weather will be generally sunny, with some scattered clouds appearing at intervals, but with little significant effect.
Moderate northwesterly winds will blow across most areas, becoming active at times during the afternoon and evening hours, especially in open and desert areas. This may cause local dust storms, but they will contribute to a milder atmosphere during the evening hours.
During the night hours, the weather tends to be moderate in the northern regions, including Greater Cairo, the North Coast, and the Delta governorates, where minimum temperatures range between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius, with high humidity levels.
The weather during the evening and night hours is suitable for outdoor gatherings and social activities, especially in open areas overlooking the sea. Heavy clothing is not expected, as the summer weather is generally moderate to warm.
Arab Weather advises citizens to avoid direct exposure to the sun during the midday and afternoon hours, especially during the first days of Eid, to drink adequate amounts of water, and to choose light summer clothing. It is also preferable to engage in outdoor activities during the evening hours, when the weather is more moderate and comfortable.
God knows best.
