According to the satellite images, the thunderclouds are characterized by their towering vertical growth in the atmosphere and their low bases near the ground.

 

The height of the thunderclouds west of Al-Jafr is estimated to be about 10 km or more, meaning they have reached the upper troposphere. This type of cloud typically produces very heavy hail, which can be large and potentially harmful.
