Weather of Arabia - Snow covered the summit of Jabal al-Shams on more than one occasion during the past two days, which has a height of 3000 meters, as temperatures fell to more than three degrees below zero degrees Celsius, amid bitter cold weather.

The climate of Jabal al-Shams is characterized by moderation in summer, as its temperature often does not exceed 25 degrees Celsius, while temperatures drop remarkably in winter and may sometimes reach below 5 degrees below zero, and the weather is often dry. This decrease causes snowfall. The lowest recorded temperature was in January 2015, when it was -9.7 degrees below zero.
