  • Rain: Rain indicates the beneficial rain that irrigates the soil and produces fruits and plants, as it indicates goodness, benefit and fertility, and it is the rain that descends and brings good after periods of interruption.

It is used in places of mercy because of the relief it contains, as stated in the Almighty’s saying: (And it is He who sends down the rain after they have despaired, and spreads His mercy, and He is the Praiseworthy Guardian).

  • Rain: Water coming down from the clouds, its droplets vary between drizzle and rain, whether it is good and mercy, or it is evil and torment.

The word "rain" is not mentioned in the Holy Qur'an except in places of torment

As the Almighty says: {And We rained upon them a rain, then it was the rain of the warners} - (Surat Al-Shu’ara’)

And He said: {And We rained rain upon them, so see what was the punishment of the criminals} - (Al-A’raf)

However, it was mentioned in the noble hadith: “We are rained by God’s grace and mercy.”
